Join The Conversation This Spring

This Spring we have launched a "Heritage Talks@Two” series, afternoon talks to cover subjects of  particular interest to the local community.  The illustrated talks are designed to be informal, and will take place in the Marquee at Guildford Cathedral.  We are delighted that we have secured experts in a variety of fields , starting with playing our part in raising the profile of mental health issues as we focus on the history of mental health care in Surrey.  Later in the spring we turn our attention to finding out more about local power couples who helped shape their local communities as we welcome Juliet Dunmur, the grand-daughter of Sir Edward and Lady Prudence Maufe, and Paul Backhouse will give a talk on Alan Turing: Guildford's best kept secret.

Admission is free to these talks, registering for a place is helpful – but not obligatory, and free refreshments are served.

Places are FREE but please register your interest in advance by contacting Louise Kenyon, The People’s Cathedral Outreach & Engagement Officer on 01483 547886 (louise@guildford-cathedral.org).  Everyone is welcome to take part in this programme whatever your area of interest, expertise, faith or belief.
