/images/Bishop/andrew watson.jpg

Downing Street has announced today that the next Bishop of Guildford will be the Rt Revd Andrew Watson.  Bishop Andrew (53), who has been Bishop of Aston since 2008, is expected to be installed as the tenth Bishop of Guildford in a service at Guildford Cathedral in February 2015.

I welcome the announcement that The Rt Revd Andrew Watson has been named as the next Bishop of Guildford. He's coming to lead the diocese when there is an excitement about our growth in discipleship, numbers and engagement with the communities we serve. One important facet of the Cathedral's core purpose is to support the ministry of the Bishop in faith and engagement and I look forward to working closely with him

The Very Reverend Dianna Gwilliams

Dean of Guildford
