Free Coffee Concert: Music for a Summer Morning

Guildford U3A Choirs

Thursday 20 July, 11.15 - 12 noon

The U3A Combined Guildford Choirs  welcome beginners as well as experienced singers.  Led by their conductor, John Varney, their repertoire includes songs from Musical Theatre, Folk music, Opera and Oratorio choruses, anthems and carols. The joint choirs meet weekly during term time on Mondays from 10a.m – 12noon at St. Catherine’s Village Hall GU2 4HF, also on Tuesday afternoons from 2p.m. – 4p.m.  at St Nicolas Church, Guildford GU2 4AW . Both choirs are always keen to attract new members.  They are delighted to be able to share their enthusiasm in this “Music for Summer Morning Concert” at Guildford Cathedral.  The programme will include a wide range of music for your enjoyment, and will include an opportunity for audience participation.  So come along on Thursday 20th July, doors open at 10.30 am for coffee, the informal concert is 11.15am – 12 noon.

 For this special occasion members of the Milford U3A Choir will be joining their colleagues from the Guildford U3A Choirs - all are most welcome!

 This coffee concert is part of a regular monthly series of accessible concerts, we are taking a break in August,  the next concert is a violin recital on Thursday 14 September.  Future dates are 5 October, 9 November and 21 December.
