News: Mothering Saturday Crafting Event

For many years, hundreds of Mothers’ Union members have come together from across the Diocese for a service to celebrate Lady Day on Saturday 25th March.  This year this much loved tradition will be continued but a new outreach initiative is also planned to mark Mothering weekend, so come and join us at our informal crafting event.

Our team have come up with some wonderfully original crafts to suit people of all ages, designed to bring joy to others.  There will be the chance to be creative, including making cards, enjoying a free hand massage and contribute to a unique memory book.  Admission is free. We hope that it will be a relaxed and happy occasion, presenting the opportunity to make beautiful things for the women in our families and community.

The Mother's Union Eucharist will take place in the Cathedral at 11am.

The crafting event takes place in the Marquee at Guildford Cathedral from 12 noon until 2pm.

The Refectory and Shop will be open, the Refectory will be serving delicious home cooked lunches and light refreshments.
