Tours without a guide

Tours without a Guide leaflets are available with which visitors can show themselves round the Cathedral if they wish. These have been produced in several different languages. To view the English versions of the Inside and Outside Tours to the Cathedral please open Inside Tour (PDF) and Outside Tour (PDF).

If you are coming with a group, it is helpful both to tour organisers and the Cathedral if arrangements for ALL visits are made in advance with the Visits Officer (visits@guildford-cathedral.org).

There is always a limit to the number of people who can see any building comfortably at the same time; and disappointment to parties (and headaches for organisers!) can be caused if unscheduled arrivals clash with special services, concerts and other events being held in the Cathedral when entry to the Cathedral is not permitted.Guildford Cathedral welcomes families with
children this summer.

We have worksheets of activities for children of all ages for inside the Cathedral and if the weather is fine there is plenty to do outside with a trail around the grounds. We have inside worksheet tours for young children (PDF), junior school children, (PDF) and children aged 11 to 13 years (PDF). We have similar outside tours for infant school children (PDF), and junior school (PDF) together with guidance notes for accompanying adults (PDF).

We also have the new Seeds of Hope Children's Garden which is well worth a visit. You can walk round the labyrinth or just sit and enjoy and peace and beauty of the garden. We have guides for adults (PDF) and children (PDF).
