Hägersten Chamber Choir (Stockholm) sing a programme showcasing some of the most beloved Swedish Choral music.
Founded in 1995, Hägersten Chamber Choir is a highly ambitious ensemble consisting of 32 singers united by their passion for choral music. Since 2022, Oskar Timm has served as the choir’s artistic director. He also works as a music director in the Hägersten parish, to which the choir belongs.
The choir regularly performs major concerts in connection with church holidays. Their repertoire often features large-scale choral works by Johann Sebastian Bach, including the Passions, the Christmas Oratorio and the Mass in B Minor. Over the years, they have also performed major works such as Mozart's Requiem and Mass in C Minor as well as the requiems of Verdi, Fauré, and Brahms.
In addition to these larger works, the choir maintains a broad a cappella repertoire spanning all eras of classical choral literature. They also regularly perform newly composed music and have collaborated with several composers throughout their history.
