Visiting Guildford Cathedral

Guildford Cathedral has so much to offer the visitor. As well as an inspiring and peaceful building the Cathedral offers a whole range of attractions from guided tours to enjoying a cup of tea and a cake with friends.

The Cathedral extends a warm welcome to visitors of all ages all year round, from the start of morning services to the end of Evensong each day.

Closures and Restrictions

From time to time, the Cathedral, or areas of the Cathedral may be closed for private services, special events, filming, or maintenance. We try to minimise these periods as much as we can, especially when the Cathedral is open during the daytime.

Please check Diary page for any last-minute changes prior to your visit as some events may be arranged at short notice.

Donations to the Cathedral from visitors are welcomed as these help towards our maintenance and running costs (we receive no regular state funding).

Your support is needed now, more than ever. Thank you to all our generous donors and benefactors. If you’d like to contribute to the future of the work here please donate on-line, or by using this QR code. UK taxpayers can increase the value of their gift by signing a Gift Aid Declaration. Details on our website.  During this difficult period we are especially dependent on the donations from our on-line worshippers. Thank you for your generosity.

There is a small fee for group visits.
