School Learning

Welcome to Guildford Cathedral. Come and explore the last Anglican Cathedral to be consecrated on a new site, in 1961.

What we do

  • We welcome school children of all ages and backgrounds.
  • We are dedicated to making your visit memorable, experiential and educational.
  • We aim to provide inspiring learning experiences for all people of any age, enabling you to engage with the Cathedral and its significance in ways appropriate to you.
  • We tailor visits to meet your needs.
  • We can provide educational experiences on site on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during term-time.

Activities we offer

We offer a selection of trails and workshops covering a diverse curriculum including Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Art and Design and History. Our activities are aligned to both the National Curriculum and Diocese approved curriculum. We will help you fulfil requirements for these subjects and can even provide assessment opportunities.

Special Educational Needs Schools and Non-UK schools are also catered for with programmes designed specifically to match your needs.

Please look at our Types of Visit page to find out more about what we can offer to your pupils.
