Children and Young People

Guildford Cathedral offers welcoming activities and services for children, young people, and families throughout the year.

Cathedral Tots

Our informal service for toddlers and pre-schoolers takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at 10.00am (unless stated). Each session includes toys, songs, a Bible story, prayer, craft, and refreshments.

Cathedral Tots is a free activity, with a welcoming and relaxed community of parents and carers and young children. There is no need to book. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Storytime at the Cathedral

Preschoolers, parents, and carers are invited to join us for a fun, informal session of songs, stories, and rhymes in The Regimental Chapel.

Storytime is usually on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11.00am.

The session is free, but space is limited, so pre-booking is recommended, although you can also come along on the day.

Sunday School

Sunday School is for children aged 3 to 11, held during the Sunday morning Eucharist in the Library. A self-service crèche for younger children is available in the Baptistry.

Sunday School usually takes place on the first Sunday of the month. Please check before attending.

Family Fun Days and Messy Cathedral

These fun-filled craft sessions are aimed at children aged approximately 3 to 12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sessions are free, but booking is required when spaces are limited.

Family Services

Guildford Cathedral holds family services at special times of the year, encouraging all ages to worship together.

THE WAY OF THE CROSS: Friday 3 April 10am

All ages are welcome to join us at this special service to mark Good Friday, with craft and refreshments, followed by a short, interactive service with hymns, story, prayers and space to reflect together on this important day.

 

MesSy cathedral: Wednesday 29 july 10am

Come and explore a Bible story through craft, games, stories and songs – fun guaranteed! Suitable for all ages, with refreshments.
