All are welcome to join us for our Free Family Events that run throughout the year.

Cathedral Tots

Our informal service for toddlers and pre-schoolers takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at 10.00am. Each session of Cathedral Tots includes toys, songs, a Bible story, prayer, craft and refreshments. Cathedral Tots is a free activity, with a welcoming and relaxed community of parents/carers and young children. There is no need to book places for these services. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Storytime

Preschoolers, parents and carers are invited to join us for a fun, informal session of songs, stories and rhymes in Seasons Cafe. Usually on the 4^th Thursday at 11am.

Space is limited so pre-booking is recommended but you can also just turn up on the day. The session is free but drinks, snacks and lunchboxes are available to purchase. You can’t eat your own food in the Cafe.

Sunday School – usually on the first Sunday of the month (check first)

For ages 3-11, during the Sunday morning Eucharist, in the Library. There is also a self-service creche for younger children in the Baptistry.

Family Services

Guildford Cathedral has Family Services at special times of the year, encouraging the whole family to worship together and enjoy a different style of worship. Our next Family Service is Journey to Bethlehem on Christmas Eve at 4pm. Children are warmly invited to dress as a nativity character and take part in telling the story of Christ’s birth.

Can you help us reach many more children?

A firm favourite for families, our fun-filled days become fully booked very quickly. A donation of just £1.49 will pay for a child's craft bag, £4.50 will cover the costs of a family of three children plus a parent or carer. Just £90 would pay for a whole session of 60 children. When you book your child’s session, please consider making a gift of any size to help us achieve our goal.
