Educational Visits for Schools

Welcome to Guildford Cathedral – the last Anglican Cathedral to be consecrated on a new site, in 1961.

We’re proud to welcome school children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to this unique and inspiring place. Whether you're exploring faith, history, art, or architecture, our Cathedral offers a rich learning experience that brings classroom learning to life.

Activities and Workshops

Our programme includes workshops, guided visits, and creative activities designed to engage pupils and deepen their understanding across a range of subjects.

  • Religious Education
    Our RE sessions align with the National Curriculum and Diocese approved curriculum. We explore themes such as Christian festivals, worship, sacred spaces, and key theological concepts, all in ways that support your classroom teaching and assessment.
  • Cross-Curricular Learning
    Looking for a fresh setting for history, art, drama, or even science? We can create workshops and visits to support a wide variety of learning objectives.
  • Special Schools and International Schools
    We offer bespoke sessions for SEN schools and visiting international groups, including multi-sensory experiences and tours adapted to your students’ needs.
