Recent Projects
The Cathedral is truly grateful to the Friends for their support with projects and enabling our work and mission.
- Upgrading our Livestreaming equipment to further improve the sound within the Cathedral
- Covering 2/3 of the salary for the Head of Families and Schools (A 1/3rd is covered by a private donor)
- Funding for 3 years for a Families Engagement Officer
- Provision of resources and storage for Godly Play
- Covering repairs and maintenance to the fabric of the Cathedral and grounds
In recent years The Friends have helped to fund the following projects:
- A new cope for the Dean
- New stoles and Virgers' robes
- Re-waxing of the oil filled candles
- Vestments for children to wear when visiting with their school
- A contribution towards the nave altar and font
- Contributions to The Cathedral Appeal towards the Oral History Project and Archive Project
- Audio Visual equipment for live streaming
- IT upgrade for live streaming
