Welcome this March to Guildford Cathedral
MARCH at Guildford Cathedral
March at Guildford Cathedral is shaped by a deeper spirit of reflection and spiritual journey as the Church moves towards Holy Week. The unfolding of Lent invites quiet contemplation, prayer, and moments of shared worship within the Cathedral’s timeless setting.
Throughout the month, a rich programme of services and music prepares hearts and minds for the solemnity and hope of Holy Week. Choral worship, reflective services, and moving musical offerings create space to pause, listen, and engage with the story at the heart of the Christian faith including Liturgy and Lent Talks and The Stations of the Cross.
Holy Week forms the centrepiece of March, with thoughtfully led services marking Palm Sunday, and the anticipation of Easter. These moments of worship offer opportunities for deep reflection, remembrance, and renewal for all who attend.
Families continue to be warmly welcomed to creative, child-friendly gatherings such as Cathedral Tots and Storytime at the Cathedral, while quieter services provide stillness and space for prayer.
Whether you are walking the Lenten journey, preparing for Easter, or simply seeking peace and perspective, March at Guildford Cathedral offers a meaningful and contemplative time of gathering and reflection.
