Volunteer School Workshops Assistant

🌟 Become a School Workshop Helper at Guildford Cathedral 🌟

Do you enjoy working with children? Could you help bring Christian festivals and Bible stories to life for local school groups?

We're looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to support our popular school workshops, helping children explore the Christian faith through creative, interactive, and engaging activities.

🎨 Help deliver fun and inspiring learning experiences
👧 Support children as they learn through craft, drama and discussion
📖 Share the story and meaning of Christian festivals
🤝 Work alongside a welcoming and supportive team

Throughout the year, Guildford Cathedral hosts workshops for local schools focused on key Christian festivals, including Advent, Lent, Easter and Pentecost. Designed for different age groups, these sessions encourage children to learn through hands-on activities, storytelling, group discussion and creativity.

As a School Workshop Helper, you'll support the organisation and delivery of workshops, helping to lead small groups of children through activities and encouraging them to participate and explore new ideas. You'll also work alongside teachers, support staff and fellow volunteers to create a positive and memorable experience for every child.

No previous teaching experience is required — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to engage with young people. Training and support will be provided.
