🌟 Become a Choir Chaperone at Guildford Cathedral 🌟
Do you love choral music? Could you spare a couple of hours on a weekday afternoon to support the young people who make our Cathedral choir so special?
We're looking for volunteer Choir Chaperones to help provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for our choristers during rehearsals and services.

🛡️ Play an important role in safeguarding and wellbeing
🤝 Be part of a friendly and supportive volunteer community
Worship lies at the heart of Cathedral life, and our choir plays a vital role in that worship. With around 40 choristers aged 7–18 singing at services each week, chaperones are essential in helping everything run smoothly.
As a Choir Chaperone, you'll help supervise choristers before, during, and after rehearsals and services, ensuring they are safe, supported, and able to enjoy their time in the choir. No previous experience is necessary — full training will be provided.
📍 Guildford Cathedral
🕓 Tuesday, Thursday or Friday afternoons, approximately 4:15pm–6:15pm

You are welcome to submit a Curriculum Vitae, although all volunteers will be required to complete an application form and provide two references before commencing their role.
This role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and the completion of safeguarding training, where applicable.
There will be an initial trial period to ensure that the role is a good fit for both you and the Cathedral. As part of your induction, you will receive all the information, training and support needed to help you settle into the role and thrive as a volunteer at Guildford Cathedral.
