Choir Chaperones
Volunteer Choir Chaperones | Join Our Team
Love choral music?
Have a couple of hours free between 4:15 and 6:15 pm on a weekday afternoon — Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday?
If you answered “Yes!”, we’d love for you to join our volunteer Choir Chaperone team!
Worship lies at the heart of our cathedral, and our choir plays a vital role in that worship. Our choir includes around 40 talented choristers — boys aged 7 to 13 and girls aged 9 to 18 — who sing at three services each week.
But we can’t have a choir without chaperones. Our Safeguarding Policy requires at least one adult for every 8 to 10 children (depending on age) to ensure their safety and wellbeing. As a chaperone, you’ll support the children by supervising before, during, and after rehearsals and services. Don’t worry — full training will be provided.
