🎶 Choral Evensong – Wednesday 11 March | 5:30pm

We are delighted to welcome King’s College School Chamber Choir, Wimbledon to Guildford Cathedral this evening for Choral Evensong at 5:30pm.

King’s College School is one of London’s leading academic day schools, where music plays a central role in school life. The Chamber Choir has built an outstanding reputation in London and beyond, performing on tour across the UK and internationally, including Austria, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Suffolk and the Isle of Wight. They have sung in some of Europe’s most renowned churches and cathedrals, including Stephansdom in Vienna, Notre-Dame in Paris, the Duomo in Florence, Granada Cathedral, Thomaskirche in Leipzig and St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin.

The choir regularly sings services in cathedrals across London and the south of England, as well as at the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace and St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. They also present an annual Christmas concert at St James’s Church Piccadilly and have released three CD recordings in recent years.

Music for this evening’s service:
Evening Service in G – Charles Villiers Stanford
• Responses – Ayleward
Requiem aeternam (from the Requiem Mass) – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Please note: as we have a visiting choir, Choral Evensong (not usually held on Wednesdays) will take place this evening and will replace the usual Evening Prayer.

✨ All are very welcome to join us.
